Who has the highest shooting percentage in Vegas Golden Knights history?

The Vegas Golden Knights have made their name off balancing scoring with deep lines everywhere. Who has the highest shooting percentage in team history?

A team is only as good as its offensive players. Having a balanced unit led by a singular piece (or two) goes a long way in winning games for that club. That’s especially true if injuries hit, which will test their depth. That’s something the Vegas Golden Knights have dealt with in recent years, making life a living nightmare.

So what’s a team to do? Should they bring in a big name via free agency or a trade? Should they promote a player via their farm system? The Golden Knights have worked their magic here, finding diamonds in the rough. That includes Chandler Stephenson, who scored 75 goals and 162 assists during his Vegas career. He was one of the most reliable pieces for the team in recent years, playing well with names like Mark Stone.

Now that Stephenson has gone to the Pacific Northwest to search for Bigfoot (okay, he was signed by the Seattle Kraken), the Golden Knights are seeking another diamond in the rough. They want someone with a good shooting percentage, making the most of his shot selection. Speaking of which, who’s the best in this statistical category?

Chandler Stephenson has the highest shooting percentage in Vegas Golden Knights history with 15.6

Speaking of Chandler Stephenson, he has the best shooting percentage in Vegas Golden Knights history with 15.6. His best campaign came in 2020-21 when he had a number of 16.9. His next season was a close second at 16.8. Along the way, he’s developed a reputation as an adaptable distributor, with a career-high in assists in 2022-23 (49).

Erik Haula was a close second in the shooting percentage with 15.4, followed by Michael Amadio at 14.7. Mark Stone came in fourth at 14.3 and William Karlsson followed right behind him at 14.2. Most of these names came from the Stanley Cup-winning team in 2022-23, where the Golden Knights had balanced scoring on every line. A majority of these names were cheap finds, with Vegas not paying a hefty price to obtain their services.

That has been the recipe for success for the franchise since their inaugural season, which has led to a consistent model. The Golden Knights have made the Stanley Cup Final twice as a result, with one win coming in their first seven years. The best part is fans don’t know when the next Chandler Stephenson will come, making for a pleasant surprise.
