When you tune into any of the Real Housewives franchises, it is rare to see one in a happy relationship. While some do exist, like Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga, they are the exceptions to the rule. Imagine a unicorn. Usually, the women are either in the middle of a turbulent divorce or have been single for quite some time. In the past, viewers might have been left asking, “Where is the love?” Luckily, Peacock has answered our prayers and will finally deliver a dating show aimed at our favorite women.
Peacock is making moves
In an exclusive People revealed that NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, had been given the green light to embrace a dating concept with multiple Real Housewives. According to the outlet, Peacock will round up some of the most eligible bachelors to try and win the hearts of “four of Bravo’s biggest bachelorettes.” According to the outlet, the working title is Love Hotel and will star Luann de Lesseps, Shannon Beador, Gizelle Bryant, and Ashley Darby.
The filming location will take place in the tropical background of Cabo San Lucas. An insider shared that all four Bravo stars will be “offered a diverse dating pool.” Love Hotel is expected to air sometime in the New Year. Peacock has recently been on a roll with its Real Housewives content. In 2021, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip premiered, which resulted in another spin-off, Real Housewives Ex-Wives Club, in June 2022. Not to mention that both Season 1 and Season 2 of The Traitors were nominated for an Emmy. So Peacock pretty much knows what they are doing when it comes to enhancing the Bravo lineup.
Ashley Darby’s dating history
Every follower of the Real Housewives of Potomac questioned why Ashley had ever married Michael Darby, especially because of his long list of cheating issues. I don’t want to say it was about the money, but let’s call a spade a spade. In 2022, both called it quits on their marriage but have yet to finalize their divorce. Since becoming single, the beauty queen has only gone public with Summer House’s Luke Gulbranson after meeting at BravoCon 2022. Sadly, they didn’t work out and broke up in early 2023.
Shannon Beador’s dating history
The Real Housewives of Orange County star was married to David Beador for 13 years, but fans watched their marriage unravel thanks to his wandering ways. Sadly, renewing their vows in Season 11 couldn’t help keep their love burning. Next, Shannon dated John Janssen in 2019. The two seemed to work well together until they didn’t. Now Shannon is back in the dating pool with fans, hoping the show can give her a fighting chance at finding love.
Gizelle Bryant’s dating history
From 2002 to 2009, Gizelle married Jamal Bryant, a pastor. In 2019, she tried to give it another go with Jamal, but old habits take a lot of work to kick. In 2021, they called it quits for a second time. Gizelle seemed to stay solo for a while until she met Winter House’s Jason Cameron. At 16 years her junior, the mother of three seemed to be smitten. But I’m guessing things might not have worked out if she is participating in the new dating show.
Luann de Lesseps’ dating history
The countess might have had the most challenging time when it comes to finding love out of anyone. After being married for 17 years, she and Alexandre de Lesseps called it quits. Luann then dated Jacques Azoulay. But in 2012, cheating rumors ran wild after Luann was filmed flirting with the Johnny Depp look-alike. In 2015, Luann met her second husband, Tom D’Agostino Jr. But the duo didn’t even last a year after saying “I do.”
Needless to say, all four women need help in the relationship department. Even if they don’t find their soulmate, the Real Housewives will have fun trying. The only way this new series could be better is if they bring on some surprise guests to help the ladies decide. Maybe Sonja Morgan or Dorinda Medley for good measure? Good luck, ladies. You are going to need it!
