The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol premieres on AMC and AMC+ this fall.

Walking Dead fans are gearing up for the exciting second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The upcoming season brings Melissa McBride’s Carol Peletier back into the story in the season subtitled The Book of Carol.

Carol and Daryl (Norman Reedus) are the only two characters introduced in season 1 of The Walking Dead who survived the series. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan (Lennie James) also survived, but both characters were no longer featured in the main series at its conclusion. Carol and Daryl experienced extensive growth throughout the main series and formed a special, unbreakable bond. McBride was originally slated to star alongside Reedus in a different spinoff series but had to bow out due to personal reasons. Now, she returns in the second season of the Daryl Dixon series.

Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol will pick up where things left off in season 1, which chronicled Daryl’s journey to France and, by the end, saw Carol searching for her missing friend. Next, the duo will fight old demons as they make their way back to one another. Carol continues her search for Daryl in the States as he continues to fight with the Union of Hope. This season will also feature Genet (Anne Charrier), leader of the Pouvoir, as they come against The Union of Hope

The Book of Carol will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on September 29 at 9 p.m. ET. Until that time, AMC has been generous, allowing their AMC+ subscription subscribers a sneak peek at the first 11 minutes of the first episode. You can sign in at AMC+ or gain access via Prime Video AMC+ to view.

Daryl Dixon season 2

The Daryl Dixon panel at SDCC revealed the full-length trailer for the upcoming season. It begins with Carol and Daryl on separate journeys, her desperate to find her friend, and he trying to find his place in the world.

Then the action begins. It looks like viewers are in for a wild ride as Carol and her new friend Ash (Manish Dayal) take to the skies in their search for Daryl. While Daryl continues to fight Genet and find his way home as he fights Genet and glowing walkers. Watch closely at the very end.
