Walking Dead actors Marisol Correa and Pruitt Taylor Vince both appear in a new thriller series on AppleTV, Lady in the Lake.
Based on the 2019 novel by New York Times bestselling author Laura Lippman, Lady in the Lake is a 7-part series created for AppleTV. The limited series is directed by Alma Har’el and stars Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, who also serves as an executive producer and Emmy nominee Moses Ingram.
The disappearance of a young girl in Baltimore on Thanksgiving 1966 intersects the lives of two women. Maddie Schwarts (Portman), a Jewish housewife, tries to shed the secrets of her past by becoming an investigative journalist. Cleo Johnson (Ingram) is a mother struggling to raise her family while navigating the politics of Black Baltimore. Maddie’s obsession with Cloe’s death puts both their families in danger.
The series also stars Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe, Josiah Cross, Mikey Madison and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
Lady in the Lake premiered episodes 1 & 2 on AppleTV+ on July 19. New episodes will be released weekly through the series finale on August 23. Watch the thrilling trailer for Lady in the Lake below.
Marisol Correa
Correa shared her involvement in the series via Instagram. The image shows the actress in period costume as she thanks everyone involved with the project.
Correa is well known for her role in The Walking Dead, where she was a member of Oceanside from seasons 7 to 11. She has also appeared in many other roles during her career. She recently appeared in Lioness, Ghosted, We Own This City, and The Suicide Squad.
Pruitt Taylor Vince
Pruitt Taylor Vince appears in the series as Bob Bauer, a Baltimore journalist. He also shared his involvement on Instagram.
Vince is known within The Walking Dead universe for portraying Otis in season 2. Jon Bernthal’s Shane sacrificed his character so he could escape a horde of walkers.
His more recent roles include Crime Story, Bird Box, Gotti, The Blacklist, and Stranger Things. Vince has been cast as Pa Kent in James Gunn’s DC revamp of Superman. He starred in the CBS crime drama The Mentalist as J.J. LaRoche, NBC’s Heros Reborn as Casper Abraham, and Finn in HBO’s True Blood.
