The hype surrounding the Falcons offense grows with each passing day of training camp, with the most recent compliment coming from veteran Ray-Ray McCloud, who told Atlanta media that it reminds him of his time with the 49ers.

Kyle Shanahan is arguably the best offensive mind in the league. He’s elevated quarterbacks countless times, including Falcons great Matt Ryan, who won his only MVP under Shanahan en route to a Super Bowl berth.
The 49ers offense is the pinnacle for every club that doesn’t have Patrick Mahomes. The Falcons, with Zac Robinson and Kirk Cousins, certainly hope to emulate some of the success that Shanahan’s disciples have had in recent seasons.
Shanahan and Jimmy Garoppolo/Brock Purdy, Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford, Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers/Jordan Love, Kevin O’Connell and Cousins, etc. is the goal for Atlanta.
All of those offenses have had sustained success, some while cycling through quarterbacks because the system is proven. The Falcons are hopeful that Zac Robinson, who was the hottest commodity on the offensive coordinator market this offseason, will help Cousins continue his MVP-caliber play from 2023 along with helping the club’s three top 10 picks realize their full potential.
Ray-Ray McCloud spent time over his six NFL seasons in Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Carolina, and San Francisco. For him to liken the Falcons offense to the Niners, Robinson and Cousins must have already hit the ground running despite minimal time together.
That’s incredibly encouraging if you’re a Falcons fan.
