Page Six reports that sources tell them that a reporter from Vanity Fair has been interviewing Real Housewives and other sources close to the Bravo franchise for the last six months for an expose that is set to be released in the next few weeks.
The article is expected to dive into the complicated and busy lives of the Real Housewives stars and the demands that are placed on them by Bravo.
Vanity Fair‘s prob will also cover “what they trade in terms of their privacy, their image and even their mental health and relationship with alcohol in order to keep their much-coveted, often highly paid roles.”
“[The journalist] is really going deep into what the women go through and what’s expected of them as members of the cast and members of the ‘Bravo family,’” said an insider. “I think it’s going to explain a lot that fans don’t really see or understand about how it really works.”
During the interviews, Real Housewives stars have been able to reflect on how much they have given up to star on Bravo and whether or not it has been worth it.
The piece will also look into “Bravo’s various protocols and guidelines for addressing the well-being of its stars” and whether they work or not.
There are conflicting reports about how Bravo feels about the forthcoming expose. One insider says, “There have been some nerves jangling at Bravo’s HQ,” while other network insiders insist that executives aren’t “sweating” the article.
