Per The Hockey News’ Jacob Stoller the Toronto Marlies have re-signed forward Robert Mastrosimone to an AHL contract.
Mastrosimone was selected in the second round of the 2019 draft but the Detroit Red Wings but went unsigned.
The Bay Shore, NY, native played three years at Boston University where he scored 50 points in 83 games, before transferring to Arizona State University for his fourth year where he recorded 11 goals and 42 points in 38 games.
Hearing that the Toronto Marlies have re-signed Robert Mastrosimone to an AHL contract.
The 23-year-old recorded stellar underlying numbers in a bottom-six role as a rookie.

He signed with the Marlies after his final NCAA season and had four goals and 15 points in 41 games as an AHL rookie.
Mastrosimone is a crafty player with the puck and never stops moving when he is on the ice. He looks to use his tenacity to produce more offense and help the Marlies return to the Calder Cup playoffs next season.
