Congratulations are in order for Winter House alum Julia McGuire — who revealed is now engaged!
A lot has changed in the model, fashion designer, and influencer’s life since she appeared on Winter House Season 1, which debuted on Bravo in 2021. In the years since then, Paige DeSorbo’s long-time friend has started a new clothing business as well as entered a new relationship with Jackie (including starting a couple’s Instagram account that takes you inside their relationship) — and the pair is now engaged!
Inside Julia McGuire’s Proposal Details and Engagement Ring
Julia took to her Instagram account on Sunday, July 21, where she shared all of the details of the proposal, which took place in her home state of New Jersey. “Jackie proposed on my grandpa’s dock, one of my favorite, most meaningful places and then we got to celebrate with some of our favorite people. (The last photo is my favorite),” she wrote in the caption of the post.
She also showed off her stunning emerald cut engagement ring designed by Lauren B Jewelry. In the photo carousel, Julia can be seen showing off her brand new solitaire emerald cut diamond engagement ring on a thin gold band, smiling alongside their parents, showing the dock where the proposal happened, kissing her new fiancé, and making a funny face into the camera with her beau.
“Thanks for all the love and kind messages! And a huge thanks to Lauren B Jewelry for helping Jackie design my dream ring,” she added. “Over the moon happy and SO IN LOVE. Forever is kinda cool.”
How Did the Winter House cast react to Julie McGuire’s engagement news?
Winter House cast members took to the comments of the post to congratulate Julia on her news. “Omggg congrats babe!!!” Lindsay Hubbard wrote. “Congrats!!!” Sam Feher added.
What has Julia McGuire been up to since Winter House Season 1?
Julia has been very busy to say the least. Julia is super active on her Instagram and TikTok accounts, where she posts so much fashion-related content — from outfit of the day videos, to fashion hauls. She also has an Instagram account with her fiancé, where they show off their style as a couple.
But when she isn’t putting together outfits, she’s designing clothes. Julia is the founder and designer of JL27, a fashion brand that launched this year, made and designed in New York City that sells “true closet staples”. “Once I started leaning into posting more fashion content and purchasing more clothing, I continued to find the quality didn’t match the price point with the closet staples I was trying to find and bring my followers,” Julia told Mestiza New York. “I wanted something I knew would last without breaking the bank.”
Although she might be fully immersed in the fashion sphere, Julia told Mestiza New York that she would “definitely do” a reality show again and had an “amazing experience” on Winter House. “It was truly like an adult sleepaway camp with a lot of partying,” she said. “I was lucky enough to enter a house with a majority of them strangers and leave with friends I will have for life!”
