The Houston Texans have a great group of weapons on their squad. But, some of their better players are somewhat young.
Nico Collins just got his first big contract after playing out his rookie deal, and Tank Dell is going into his second year. Then there is John Metchie, who is going into his second full season. They have a plethora of weapons for C.J. Stroud to use next year and will have a few of them for quite some time.
And, the thing is, the young guys will only continue to get better. Two of them, Dell and Metchie, want to be great, and they are showing that. With training camp going on now, the two have every opportunity to show that they want to be great. And, they are doing that by staying after practice.
According to ESPN’s DJ Bien-Aime, Dell and Metchie were the last ones at practice on Saturday, where both of them were catching balls from the jug machine.
Of course, it’s only been a few days of camp, but everything we have heard about the two has been extremely positive. Whether it be John Metchie being extremely explosive again, or that Dell has been one of the more unguardable guys on the offensive side of the ball.
Training camp seems to be going extremely well so far, and these guys are working their tails off to get that much better.
