The Real Housewives of New Jersey mama just gave a major update on her eldest daughter’s law career.
Gia Giudice might have taken a “pause” on her law career, but she still isn’t giving up on her dreams.
Teresa Giudice’s eldest daughter’s journey to becoming a lawyer has been documented through The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Viewers saw Gia studying for the LSAT, or law school entrance exams, during Season 14 — and she’s still studying now. Teresa appeared on the Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast on Wednesday, July 31, where she gave the latest update on where Gia’s law school dreams stand today.
Why Gia Giudice “Wasn’t Ready” to Take The LSAT
After Gia took some time off of work to study for the LSAT, Teresa told Kelly Ripa that she was devoted to her studies. “So she was studying, studying, studying, and then she got so stressed out by it. And it was last year while we were filming, so it was a lot,” she explained.”But then her tutors said she wasn’t ready to take them, so she was really upset, which I felt bad,” she added.
Gia hasn’t given up on law school, she’s just taking a break for the summer before going back into it. “So right now she’s been doing a lot of influencing, she’s doing well,” Teresa explained. “And she’s so good at it.”
And eventually, when she does go to law school, she will end up close to home. “She wants to go to a New York law school,” Teresa said. “Whatever one she gets into.”
Gia Giudice reveals why she’s “happy” not going to law school right now
Gia explained, in her own words, why she put a “pause” on law school during a recent Amazon Live stream. “Law will always be my passion and I’m honestly just having fun right now with my influencer career and just doing things with you guys,” she said. “So I’m really happy, and I am living out this part of my life right now.”
She also defended her decision to study criminal justice and minor in sociology at Rutgers University. “So, a lot of people think I didn’t have a lot of background in my law degree. But, I did,” she said during the stream. “I was working at a public defender’s office for my senior year and I also worked at an immigration firm and did paralegal work.”
Gia’s desire to study immigration law and become a lawyer is rooted in her dad, Joe Giudice. Gia decided to pursue the field after Joe was deported to Italy and served 41 months in prison.
“Gia got into immigration law because of what happened with her dad, but she’s still thinking about what kind of law she wants to get into,” Teresa explained during RHONJ Season 14 Episode 2. “She’s very focused. I’m a proud mommy of four beautiful daughters.”
