Teresa Giudice once again threw some shade at her fellow Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members. This time, the drama revolved around her daughter, Gia Giudice.
Longtime Jersey fans know Gia, but some would argue that’s not a good thing. Practically Gia’s whole life has involved reality TV, which doesn’t seem healthy. In Season 14, Melissa Gorga found herself getting somewhat fed up over Gia’s name being brought up.
“She’s a child; why are you talking to a child about adult conversations?” Melissa asked cameras regarding Jenn Fessler’s running mouth. “It’s so f*cking weird that a child is even – that’s so f*cking weird.” But Tre apparently didn’t appreciate what Mel was trying to do.
Does Gia have a future with RHONJ?
In her recent appearance on Kelly Ripa’s podcast, Tre claimed her costars were simply jealous of Gia’s involvement in RHONJ. When asked if Gia might return to the show, Tre responded, “I would love for her to, ‘cause I mean, she has grown up on the show.”
She added, “Some people get jealous on the show that she’s around, some of my cast members, and it’s like, who cares?” With some likely shade toward Melissa, Tre also said, “6 Comments and she’s not a kid, she’s 23. She’s an adult!”
Melissa and Teresa both have a point to an extent. It certainly raises the question of how old someone ought to be to participate in a franchise like Housewives. People in their early 20s are no strangers to reality TV. But usually, the Housewives brand is associated with slightly older women.
As for Gia’s future? Well, there was a time when Andy Cohen said Gia might lead the next generation of Housewives. But given RHONJ’s current position, Bravo might be trying to rid themselves of all things Giudice, and Gorga too for that matter.
