TEEN Mom Jenelle Evans’ son Jace, 14, is “angry about moving to Las Vegas,” after he was “excited” for his new life in North Carolina without his “abusive” ex-stepdad, David Eason.
A source exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that Jenelle, 32, is currently back home in North Carolina with her children, Jace, Kaiser, 10, and Ensley, 7, as she is packing up their home for their move out west.
The source said the Teen Mom star’s oldest son, Jace, is particularly unhappy about the move.
“They’re moving to a gated community, and where she is going, it’s gated for a reason,” the insider said of the area that the reality star is re-locating herself and her three children to.
“Jace doesn’t want to move, he hates it, he’s not happy, and he’s lonely.
“He thinks Vegas is too hot, that it’s miserable and worst of all, he has to start all over again there.”
The insider said that Jace had been excited for his life in North Carolina, without his ex-stepdad, David.
“Jace was happy where he was, with David finally gone.
“Jace has his childhood friends in North Carolina, and he could finally go out and be free and hang out with the people he grew up with,” the source noted.
The move to Vegas was a “shock and surprise” to Jace.
“He thought they were just going out there for MTV, he didn’t know she was planning on moving them out there.
“She didn’t ask him, she just went and signed a lease and told the kids, ‘We’re moving to Vegas.'”
The source added that the family flew from Vegas to North Carolina, and are expecting to pack things up at the house and drive with everything cross-country back to Sin City.
During a recent episode of Teen Mom The Next Chapter, Jenelle spoke with her manager about places to possibly move to out west.
In the clip, Jenelle admitted that in moving Jace, it would be the fourth high school he’d be attending in just a year.
“This will be Jace’s fourth high school that he started this year.
Teen Mom Jenelle Evans’ ex David Eason bans daughter Ensley from show as star set to film with sons Jace and Kaiser
“I got to keep an eye on who he’s with, I don’t want him getting in any trouble here,” Jenelle said to her manager.
“This is the first time you’ll have Jace where you’ll really be able to parent him without anybody. Without CPS, without court,” August said, while Jenelle also interjected, “without my mom.”
The reality star then said, “Jace feels like he’s not walking on eggshells anymore and I feel like he’s more comfortable in the house because David’s already moved to the boat,” referencing their home in North Carolina, and David living on their boat in their home state.
As The U.S. Sun has previously reported, Jenelle has alleged a long list of abusive behavior against her ex.
The source said the 14-year-old was excited to move forward with his life without David in the picture in North Carolina.
JENELLE’S MTV RETURN
Jenelle re-appeared on the MTV series in May when fans once again saw her on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, after not being part of the franchise since 2019.
Jenelle said on camera, “I think it’ll be good to have a fresh start,” as she walked down the street.
JENELLE FILES FOR SEPARATION
In February of this year, Jenelle filed to separate from David, citing his alleged “erratic” behavior, “substance abuse” problems and a “refusal” to work.
The tumultuous pair have had their fair share of falling outs
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans met David Eason on Tinder in September of 2015.
Jenelle got pregnant in April 2016 and announced she suffered a miscarriage, then she became pregnant again with her and David’s daughter, Ensley, a few months later.
The pair got engaged in February 2017 and tied the knot that September.
A year after saying “I do,” Jenelle called 911 and accused David of assaulting her outside their home. She would later call the incident “a drunk and dramatic misunderstanding” and said she was “fine.”
In around May 2019, David shot and killed their French bulldog puppy named Nugget. Weeks after the incident, CPS took custody of all of the children, including their daughter, Ensley, Jenelle’s son, Kaiser, and David’s daughter, Maryssa.
When her children were returned to her, Jenelle fled to Tennessee with Kaiser and Ensley and filed an order of protection against David in October. She ultimately dropped the case and went back to him.
In the following years, the couple sparked split rumors as the pair would often unfollow each other on social media and update their Facebook relationship statuses.
As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported, on February 23, 2024, Jenelle filed for separation from David. She stated that she filed the documents with “the intent that the separation be permanent” and claimed that Eason had “exhibited concerning and at times disturbing behavior towards [her]” throughout their marriage.
In the court papers exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun, the MTV star hit out at everything from David’s murder of their pet dog, Nugget, in 2019, to his current felony charge for allegedly strangling her son, Jace.
“Throughout the duration of the marriage of the parties, the defendant has exhibited concerning and at times disturbing behavior towards the plaintiff.
“In May of 2019, Defendant shot and killed the family’s pet French Bulldog Nugget in front of the minor child,” the complaint read.
Jenelle also alleged that as a result of David allegedly killing their family pet, “the Columbus County Department of Child Services, DSS instituted proceedings against the parties and took into custody the aforementioned minor children.”
She also mentioned David’s alleged assault on Jace in September of 2023.
“On or about September 28 of 2023, a report was made to medical professionals by plaintiff’s oldest minor child.”
Jenelle noted that the Sheriff’s Office investigated the allegations and David was “subsequently charged with misdemeanor child abuse and felony assault by strangulation.”
David is still facing the charges.
The father-of-three has yet to respond directly to the allegations of strangulation.
