Teen Mom star, Ashley Jones released a statement shortly after it came out that she is allegedly a kidnapping victim. Her estranged husband, Bar Smith supposedly kidnapped Ashley though the details are still coming in. So, what is going on with Ashley and what does she want the public to know? Teen Mom Ashley Jones Releases Statement After Kidnapping

Ashley Jones has had a hard time with Bar Smith. She believed that he had been unfaithful so she put out a cryptic message around the time this happened. More so, she let their daughter, Holly know that it may just be a girl’s house from now on. This played out on Teen Mom as Ashley was torn as to what to do. She did not want to tear apart her family but she knew she could not trust Bar anymore. Things also were not great for her husband on the legal front.

He was arrested in 2021 and then, in 2022, he was arrested again for being a fugitive. That landed him in jail and most recently, he was put behind bars once again. Bar had a warrant for “failure to pay” and that did not help him when he was arrested on Sunday, July 7th, 2024. He added to that charge second-degree kidnapping and coercion domestic violence with the threat of or using physical force. His mother spoke out, only to clarify he did not kidnap his daughter. Now, Ashley is having her say and she is letting the public know their problems are nothing new.

Essentially, the Teen Mom star is noting that this drama has been going on for quite some time. Moreover, things do not go away as fast as some may think or want. However, she and Holly are safe and that is all that matters. Ashley Jones clearly cannot, as she mentioned say everything that her fans want to know because this is an active court case.

Fans Fully Support Her

After reading what Ashley Jones had to say, fans were so proud of her. Though some were confused, they understood that not everything is an open book:

• She’s right though – just because WE are just learning about it doesn’t mean she hasn’t gone through her journey, healed and moved on. It’s just that we are just now privy to it. As long as her and Holly are happy and safe then that’s all that matters🥰

Some felt bad for Bar Smith and hoped that he would fall in line at some point. Yet, many just wanted Ashley and Holly to be safe and happy. Hopefully, they can both peacefully move on with no distractions.
