Teen Mom Amber Portwood’s Ex Had Secret Exit Plan

Amber Portwood started this season of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter out with a female hookup after Jade Cline’s wedding. She then showed up the following week with a new man. While on a Zoom call with her co-stars, Leah introduced her boyfriend, Gary Wayt and she seemed very happy with him. They had some navigating to do in their relationship since she had some mental health issues. This is something she has been dealing with for some time but was nervous for him to see. They were able to work through it on the show but off camera, things were a seesaw of drama.

Gary and Leah became engaged right after he first appeared on the show. Then, within days of making his first appearance, they went away to North Carolina for a family event. Soon enough, he was reported missing as he took off in his Nissan Rogue. Amber pleaded for him to be found and wanted it to be known that she had nothing to do with his disappearance. They had not fought, just disagreed but were fine. He soon was found and then, the engagement was off but was this all premeditated by Gary?

According to @teenmomfanz, Gary Wayt and Amber Portwood had been struggling for some time before they finally called it quits. This comes from an alleged family member of Gary’s who dished the truth behind their relationship. The insider added this:

“Amber and Gary were fighting a lot. She [Amber] would always apologize the next day, but things were very, actually extremely miserable for Gary.”

So, is that why he ran away from North Carolina and took himself on a journey of possible self-discovery while the world feared the worst?

“He found an apartment in a different state and paid for a storage unit. He knew they were going to North Carolina for Amber’s brothers wedding and took it as an opportunity to leave. The fight that happened at the hotel was the icing on the cake.”
