Lindsay Hubbard is speaking out against criticism over her decision to keep her boyfriend’s identity to herself.
Days after the Summer House cast member confirmed she and her mystery man are expecting their first child, Lindsay, 37, responded to Instagram users who wondered why she hasn’t shared his name, called her out for moving on “quickly” from her former fiance, Carl Radke, 39, and accused her of being “petty” in a recent post.
“Why don’t we get to know who the man is? Strange that he’s not proud to be by your side as a baby daddy, and same for you!” someone wrote after Lindsay shared a post about the timeline of her pregnancy and described her unnamed boyfriend as her “baby daddy.”
“Because I don’t owe you anymore than I already give you,” Lindsay replied.
Then, after someone said it was “weird” of Lindsay “to move on so quickly” from the supposed “love of [her] life and best friend,” Carl, Lindsay pointed out that Carl had made it easy for her to shut off her emotions.
Lindsay was also accused of indirectly responding to a recent post made by Carl, which featured a caption that read, “Back [and] forth.” As an IG user stated, Lindsay had captioned a later post, “Everywhere and back,” prompting them to label her a “petty queen.” However, according to Lindsay, she never saw what Carl shared.
“I have him blocked so can’t see what he posts lol,” she explained.
Amid the unruly comments, one Lindsay fan shamed others for suggesting she had alluded to being more hard-working than other moms by naming the many events she attended and obligations she fulfilled.
“She never said she was the only pregnant woman to work hard or that she doesn’t respect other hardworking moms!” they noted.
“Seriously like people woke up angry today!” Lindsay agreed.
As for her potentially upcoming book, Lindsay said she would “[probably] write a book” after another IG user said they couldn’t wait to see what she would do during her “nesting phase.”
Summer House season nine is currently in production.
