Spider-Noir is an upcoming TV show by Prime Video and has a solid cast to bring it to life. After the success of Sony’s Spider-Verse franchise, the character of Spider-Man Noir is one whom creatives were keen to continue exploring. The character appeared as a supporting member of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s cast of characters, before being mostly absent for its sequel. That said, his cameo in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s ending teased more to come from the detective-inspired variant of the Web-Slinger.

Aside from his promised role in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’s story, Spider-Man Noir’s future looks even more promising. Although upcoming Spider-Man movies are unlikely to feature Spider-Man Noir beyond the aforementioned animated trilogy capper, his story will continue on the small screen. Prime Video confirmed a series was in development surrounding this iteration of the character and, since then, Spider-Noir has received updates concerning who will star in the show, including actors both familiar and unfamiliar with the character and superhero genre.

Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir

Character: The only other confirmed character for Spider-Noir is Morris’ Robbie Robertson. Robertson is described as a hard-working, driven journalist who is trying to make a name for himself. Robertson will not take no for an answer as he grapples with the odds stacked against him as a black man in 1930s New York, leading him to take on riskier stories that others would not in order to further his standing. The character of Robbie Robertson is common in Spider-Man comics, often shown as a journalist for the Daily Bugle.
