The Houston Texans have already seen a display from Stefon Diggs that should be reminiscent of his blowup with former teammate Josh Allen in Buffalo two seasons ago.
The wide receiver was shown on camera speaking to quarterback C.J. Stroud, getting rather animated during their win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday. While Diggs did not appear to be angry and was likely doing a bit of coaching, lots of fans saw it as remonstrating.
The sideline exchange, if we can call it that, took place during the first quarter, with the Texans’ offense having gone through six plays. Diggs was not targeted on any of the snaps, so he may have been doing some complaining.
Check it out in the clip below:
“Going to be a disaster…” one fan wrote. “@stefondiggs is ALL about himself 🤦♂️ Happy @JoshAllenQB doesn’t have to deal with this anymore.”
“I’m no expert but that doesn’t look like complaining? Looks like he schooling his young QB,” someone else wrote.
Was This The Version Of Stefon Diggs Josh Allen Does Not Miss?
This also comes on the back of Allen claiming he didn’t miss Diggs during a recent press conference.
“Miss is a, I don’t know if I’d say miss,” the quarterback told reporters. “He was a guy that was reliable, you can look to. He’s gonna have the juice each and every day. I’m sure he’s bringing it over there in Houston.
“You can’t say that you don’t miss that, but I am very happy with what we’ve got going on here and how hard the guys have been working.”
Things do look bright with Stefon Diggs in Houston, especially after the season C.J. Stroud just had. But fans might feel like his conversation with the second-year QB could be a worrying sign.
