Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador has been mulling over the old West Coast versus East Coast debate.
Shannon, a born and raised West Coaster, is starting to get the itch to switch sides. She has recently downsized her home, and become an empty nester. With her world is drastically changing all around her, it could be time for Shannon to make a drastic decision of her own. And that might mean moving to the East Coast.
Shannon has always wanted to move to the East Coast since she was young
It’s hard to imagine Shannon leaving Orange County for the east coast. When you think of RHOC, you think of Shannon. Her impact has been huge. Every fan must have stopped by The Quiet Woman to find Shannon, or to sit at the table where she shouted at Kelly Dodd, “This isn’t my plate, you stupid f*cking bitch!”
Still, with several of Shannon’s daughters also living out east, it’s tempting for her to make the move. Bravo’s The Daily Dish reported that Shannon has been considering it. She said, “I do see myself, someday, moving back East. It’s one thing that I always wanted to do when I was younger and I never did — I probably never would have left.”
She added, “I love the city. I love everything about back East. People think that I’m from the East Coast, but I’m not. Born and raised SoCal. West Coast.” I think Shannon forgot about the humidity. Somehow I see her hopping right back onto the plane for West Coast weather once she gets a taste of 95 degrees with a heat index of 105.
Currently, Shannon is happy in her new home by the beach. She explained, “I downsized and moved out of the family neighborhood, and now I live by the beach, which I love. I’m about a five-minute walk to the actual beach and I’m [within] walking distance to neighborhood restaurants. I’m keeping my circle very small […] I like it that way.”
She continued, “I love where I live. I have great neighbors. There’s activity going on there, I’m not just sitting in a house by myself.” Looks like Shannon is happy to stay in Cali for now and hold the center orange. However, there could be an apple in the near future.
Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
