Seven Philadelphia Flyers prospects have been called up by their national teams to take part in the 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase.
The Flyers will have prospects representing three different countries at the showcase.
Oliver Bonk, Denver Barkey, Jett Luchanko, Carter Sotheran, and Carson Bjarnason have been called up for Canada.
Noah Powell has been called up for the United States, while Jack Berglund will represent Sweden.
The tournament will take place in Plymouth, Michigan from July 26-August 3.
This tournament is the first step for teams in building a roster for the 2025 World Junior Championship, which will take place from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025 in Ottawa.
Players like Bonk and Barkey have experienced this process before, with Bonk having made the team for Canada in 2024, while Barkey was unfortunately cut in the final round of decision-making. For players like Powell and Luchanko, this will be their first time challenging for a spot on the U20 rosters for their countries.
