EMOTIONS are running high in the Love Island villa as the cast prepare to say their goodbyes ahead of the final.
Tonight’s episode will see Maya Jama crown the 2024 winners – and ahead of the big day there’ll be a lot of tears with some last minute heartwarming moments.
As per tradition, the final four couples will get dressed up in their most glam outfits for a farewell dinner.
They then will all have to make heartfelt declarations for their other halves in front of the rest of the group.
It’s clear the boys are feeling the pressure of the moment, with Sean Stone telling the others they need to “unlock their inner Shakespeare” in order to impress the girls.
Once the gang are together, Josh leads the toasts by declaring: “Cheers to beautiful connections, great friendships and a fantastic future.”
Things get so emotional that Mimii Ngulube and Jess Spencer end up crying as they have their moments with their partners.
Jess tells Ayo ahead of her declaration to him: “I don’t know why I’m getting emotional”, wiping tears from her face.
She adds: “We have created such a special bond and a deeper connection between us that I never thought was possible.”
We’re teased that Ayo has “something big” to say to Jess in response – but we have to wait until tonight to find out what it is.
Mimii is also left in tears from Josh’s speech, with him surprising her with a poem.
She tells him: “You’re attentive, kind, gentle and loving. Thank you for showing me the qualities that I thought were unrealistic in this day and age.”

As a group, they later share their favourite moments of the villa, ranging from when Ciaran Davies asked Nicole Samuel to be his girlfriend, to the moment Matilda Draper introduced Sean Stone to her family.
Naturally, the evening ends with the group jumping fully clothed into the pool one last time.
Maya will be hosting the show live from the Mallorca villa tonight.
She will be joined by former islanders as well as the top four couples as the final day’s events play out.
Viewers will have their say on who their winners are, with the fourth and third place stars being announced, leaving the final two.
The winner will then be declared, with the couple winning a £50,000 prize pot to share between them.
