Another Real Housewives marriage bites the dust! RHOP alum Monique Samuels has filed for divorce from her husband, Chris Samuels.
PEOPLE reports that Monique Samuels has filed for divorce from her husband, Chris Samuels, after ten years of marriage.
The Montgomery County Family Court confirmed that the 39-year-old Bravoleb officially filed for divorce however Monique has peitioned for the court to seal the documents.
Despite the request, some informaton about the former RHOP couple’s split was available for public consumption.
Monique Samuels filed a complaint for an abolsute divorce on April 14. She went on to amedned that complaint on June 15.
The RHOP alums divorce has yet to be finalized but they are due in court on Wednesday for a hearing.
In October 2022, rumors that Monique and Chris had seperated swirled around social media.
While PEOPLE confirmed the two has called it quits, Monique and Chris quickly took to social media to shut down the claims.
On Instagram, Monique and Chris addressed the rumors by laughing them off in a video posted on Monique’s account.
Monique and Chris have not appeared on each other’s Instagram feeds since December 2022. They did not publicly acknowledge their eleven year wedding anniversay on March 3, nor did they commemorate Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. Chris has also unfollowed Monique’s blog, Not For Lazy Moms.
The former RHOP couple wed in 2012 and share three children: sons Christopher, 9, and Chase, 3, and daughter Milani, 7.
In early 2022, Monique and Chris’ marital issues became apparant as they appeared on season one of Love & Marriage: D.C.
“It’s no secret that Chris and I have been struggling in some areas of our marriage and anybody who watched Love & Marriage: D.C. last year, y’all saw the arguments, y’all saw everything that was going on,” the 39-year-old said alongside Chris in a video on her YouTube channel, per Us Weekly.
She continued, “It was a lot of confusion, it was crazy building up to that 10-year marker of our marriage and when you’ve been married that long and when you have things that you’re like, ‘Listen, this is being unmet or I’ve been unheard’ you start to get frustrated and it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, is this what life is going to be? I can’t take it anymore.’ So what y’all saw on Love & Marriage: DC last season, it was my cry for help.”
Monique and Chris have yet to publicly acknowledge their divorce. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
RHOP is expected to return for season 8 in late 2023 or early 2024.
