Real Housewives of New York Season 15 will see some changes. After an already very new Season 14, Bravo decided to add another cast member to the mix – Racquel Chevremont. And for the first time, fans saw Racquel with the other cast members – more or less.
For some time, the fate of RHONY Season 15 seemed unclear. Last year’s full reboot saw Bravo take a calculated risk, but one that paid off in the end. However, despite the success of the all-new cast, many longtime viewers missed some of the OGs.
Rumors soon circulated that previous New York Housewives would return for Season 15. Ultimately, Bravo dispelled such rumors. However, what fans hadn’t anticipated was another brand-new Bravolebrity. And Racquel’s hiring is certainly a win for representation.
RHONY Season 15 will have seven full-time Housewives including Racquel
On August 4, Bravo released a brief teaser for RHONY Season 15. This teaser was notable for showing New York’s newest Housewife, Racquel Chevremont. The short promo saw the Housewives dancing and tossing an apple between themselves, despite none of them actually sharing the screen together. The ladies could have filmed on different days for all we know.
Nevertheless, it was exciting to see Racquel on camera for the first time. RHONY’s newest cast member is a model and art curator. In late June, she proudly told GLAAD that she would be the second queer Housewife to join the Big Apple’s franchise. Racquel also proudly reported on her Black and Latina heritage, giving many Bravo fans what they yearn for – diversity.
As for the rest of the RHONY cast, the main six appeared together in a promo back in late March. In so doing, they dispelled the rumors that any previous season cast members would return to the show. Not only that, but Jenna Lyons confirmed her return, which seemed uncertain up to that point. Here’s to an oncoming new season, with seven full-time Housewives.
The Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
