The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast came together (sort of) on Monday to film what is being referred to as a watch party in place of their canceled reunion.
According to a couple of new reports, the cast filmed the season 14 conclusion under the same roof. But they were split into two separate rooms, sans Andy Cohen, 56, as they watched the finale episode for the first time and reacted to the dramatic turn of events both together and in separate cast confessionals.
Variety confirmed the July 15 taping on Tuesday, saying that production went down at the Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, New Jersey, where Jennifer Aydin, 47, and Jackie Goldschneider, 47, watched the final episode of the season with Teresa Giudice, 52. In the other room, Margaret Josephs, 57, Rachel Fuda, 33, Danielle Cabral, 38, and Jennifer Fessler, 53, watched with Melissa Gorga, 45.
As for Dolores Catania, 53, she went back and forth between the two rooms.
As the report shared, the special, which could be one or more episodes, will air on August 11, one week after the finale.
PEOPLE also shared details about the taping, revealing that the husbands did not attend and that the ladies showed up to set in daytime attire.
The outlet then stated that while Dolores was the only one who went between the rooms, all cast members were allowed to do so.
Although nothing explosive took place between the cast, it was noted that at least one major revelation was shared, leaving both groups of women in shock, and that there was “some surprise resolution.” However, it was not something that would’ve given Teresa the vindication she claimed to have gotten for herself and her husband, Luis Ruelas, 50.
As fans will recall, the 13th season of The Real Housewives of New York City also concluded without a reunion. And after its special was canceled, the entire cast was fired in lieu of a new group of women.
