Sutton Stracke is taking a step back from dating and focusing her energy on her career.
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at her Sutton Green Label fashion show, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 52, opened up about how her life has changed and she’s found more independence since her ex-husband Christian moved overseas.
“My ex-husband moved to London and it’s harder than anticipated,” she admitted, adding that the transition has been harder with one of her sons in school in the U.K.
She continued, “He’ll be home any day now, but it’s funny because my son and I are really close. We spend every day and every night together, but it’s been fun and you work things out and so everything’s good.”
Nowadays, Stracke said that she’s “really busy with my business” and while fans can expect to see her “talk about men a lot” in the upcoming season of RHOBH, she hasn’t been dating.
“I don’t have a lot of time for it,” she explained. “I’m really dating my business and enjoying it and I get frustrated a lot because the learning curve is quite steep, but also while maintaining a balance of home life and also friendships.”
Stracke and her ex-husband Christian divorced after 16 years of marriage in 2016. The former couple share daughter Porter and sons James and Philip. In season 13 of RHOBH, the reality star got candid about finding her independence and pursuing her own dreams upon Christian’s move.
Speaking to PEOPLE at her fashion show, the Bravolebrity also opened up about stepping into her power and how she plans on approaching the upcoming season of the hit reality series.
“I think that it’s always great to be with a group of smart women and business women,” she said. “I’ve learned a lot from these women for the last five years and I’ve kind of come into my own.”
After joining RHOBH for season 10 in 2019, Stracke said that she feels that she’s “really found my voice.”
“I think becoming stronger as a business woman has made me stronger as a person,” she added.
Filming for season 14 of RHOBH is now underway and two new faces are joining the show. Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, a celebrated author, podcaster and marketing executive, and Jennifer Tilly, a cult-favorite actress whose has made appearances on the show, will enter the fold alongside returning cast members Stracke, Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Dorit Kemsley and Garcelle Beauvais.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills can be streamed on Peacock.
