Oscar-winning movie star and Bravo superfan Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in a Real Housewives-inspired movie. Titled “The Wives,” it’s a mystery movie that Jennifer will also produce. Over the years, the Real Housewives franchise provided more than enough material to inspire a movie. And surely, no one knows that better than Jennifer, the ultimate celebrity Housewives fan. I can’t wait to see which Housewives inspire Jennifer’s character.
The movie will also reportedly be produced by Jeremy O. Harris. The playwright previously turned a viral Twitter thread into the script of the award-winning movie Zola. Surely, the creative forces behind this movie are already scouring the many years of the Real Housewives series for inspiration. We also won’t be shocked if some Bravo stars make cameos in Jennifer’s flick.
The iconic Real Housewives Reality Von Tease reveal, RHOSLC
In the RHOSLC Season 4 finale, Heather Gay gave Hercule Poirot a run for his money. The Monica Garcia confrontation set at a group dinner (during a storm in Bermuda, no less) already reminded us of the big final reveals in Poirot movies like Death on the Nile. Then there was the added twist – the flashback to Heather and the other women plotting on the beach. Heather also described her detective work in detail. And the shocking dinner confrontation led to some other big reveals, with Heather saving the best (Jen Shah gave her the black eye!) for last.
Reality Von Tease was the most talked about Real Housewives moment in years. John Oliver compared it to Best Picture winner Oppenheimer. “Receipts! Proof! Screenshot! Timeline!” was inescapable. In other words, there’s no way JLaw and Co could make anything Real Housewives inspired without at least nodding to this iconic moment.
We already know Jennifer is a huge fan of this episode. She even said she’d give the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City her Oscar because they deserve it.
Real Housewives classic, Blue Stone Manor, RHONY
Dorinda Medley’s Berkshires estate Blue Stone Manor is the setting for Real Housewives of New York’s most memorable episodes. Including a murder mystery party in Season 10! Dorinda herself wants to see if the new RHONY cast can handle it.
It would also make the perfect setting for a film like this. Blue Stone Manor is the exact type of old house in which all sorts of mysteries, thrillers, and horror movies are set. For instance, think of classics like Clue, Sleuth, and the first Knives Out movie. Think of the potential for dramatic scenes that could go down in the infamous fish room!
