Even with less two weeks left until it starts, there are still billions of mock drafts left to go. This particular one by a YouTuber went all defense with the L.A. Rams’ first four picks in rounds one, two, and three.
Rams first 3 rounds
1.19 – EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
2.52 – CB Kamari Lassiter, Georgia
3.83 – DT Ruke Orhororo, Clemson
3.99 – DL Leonard Taylor, Miami
The YouTuber didn’t sound too impressed with Lassiter despite mocking him to the Rams and noting that he may not be a huge upgrade over Quentin Lake. However, of Orhororo he said that he “is a better player than going 83rd overall,” but that here he just happened to fall to L.A.’s third pick.
Orhororo is the 70th overall player on the NFL Mock Drafts Database big board. He was actually a first round pick in a recent mock draft by Eric Galko of CBS Sports who had this to say:
Ruke Orhorhoro likely would’ve been a first-round pick a year ago, and I’d expect him to be one this year.
That’s not a popular opinion, but there are surprises every year. The bigger picture here is that there’s some reason to think that he won’t be available at pick 83.
Lassiter is the 41st ranked player at the mock draft database, so this is roughly where he is expected to go. That could change when we get to the draft, of course. These are only expectations. NFL.com compares him to Deandre Baker. Hopefully the prospect and not the NFL player.
Leonard Taylor is the 112th ranked player on the NFL Mock Draft Database big board. He was a highly touted recruit coming off of a bad season, per NFL.com.
How would you grade this haul if it happened?
