Ramona Singer was Ramona Singering again. The “Ramona-coaster” we’ve all come to know and eye roll on Real Housewives of New York is mainly comprised of rudeness, pretentiousness, and a lack of self-awareness. In her most recent display, she gave us all three.
In a recent, now-deleted post, Ramona shaded an entire state. She expressed astonishment that she, Ramona Singer, somehow ended up in a place like New Jersey – and was still able to enjoy herself. Obviously, Ramona’s comments rubbed many the wrong way.
Ramona went “out of her element” and graced New Jersey with her presence
On Friday, Ramona posted a selfie along with the caption, “Have you ever gone out of your element? Well guess where I am now ? Not Hamptons not Aspen not St Barts not nyc not Capri ….I am in NJ having the best time! It’s not the place but the people you are with.”
The backlash came quickly from Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga, who commented, “Ummm I think NJ is fantastic.”
RHONJ’s Margaret Josephs resorted to sarcasm with, “Did you get all your shots before entering?”
Many fans flocked to the comment section to set Ramona straight.
One reply read, “Unaware of her rudeness, as always. Not only insulting but bragging about her wealth to the masses, who are mostly regular folks.”
“NJ is…a minute outside Manhattan Ramona. You’re not in Siberia,” said another.
Another commented on Ramona’s habitual rudeness, “Her feet take permanent residence in her mouth.”
Ramona kept the Jersey shade going in her Stories
Ramona then doubled down in her since-disappeared Instagram Story, complete with poorly spelled text overlay. She maniacally laughed, “No one could believe in a million years…it’s 11 o’clock on a Friday night and guess where I am. New Jersey! Who knew? Who knew?”
So far, Ramona hasn’t responded to the backlash, aside from deleting her post.
Ramona’s careless and ignorant mouth is why she’s become a persona non grata at Bravo and got fired from her real estate job. At 67 years old, it’s unlikely she’s ever going to change. But, New Jersey’s feelings were probably mutual. NJ probably wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of a squawking, willy-nilly floor pooper within its boundaries, either.
