Rachel Leviss’ exit from reality TV was somewhat abrupt. Of course, most Vanderpump Rules fans could see why she left. She was vilified, and whether justly or not, that would be difficult for anyone to take. But even though Rachel left her reality TV stomping grounds, she still remained involved in the world of reality TV.
Her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, added some commentary to Pump Rules. And as one of the most discussed reality stars of the 2020s, her voice still carried a lot of weight in Bravo spaces. So, the question soon became, would Rachel ever return to reality TV?
Rachel’s future with Vanderpump Rules
In a recent interview, Us Weekly asked Rachel if she’d ever return to VPR. “It would take all-expenses-paid therapy,” she said. “I would need a therapist on call and therapy sessions after every single filming session! I just don’t know if I see a path forward because it’s not a healthy dynamic. I’m trying to protect my mental health and I’m trying to live an authentic life.”
Rachel said it was hard to watch her former cast members talk about her without her being there to defend herself. She cited this turn as another reason for her podcast. “So, in a way, I actually don’t need the show and I’m healthier without it. There’s other ways that I can pursue my soul’s purpose in life without the show. That was like a full circle chapter and it’s complete. I don’t see myself returning because there wouldn’t be anything positive coming from that.”
As for whether she’d return to reality TV in general, she responded, “I could see myself doing a competition show. I think that’s the extent of it. There’s something with anonymity and privacy that you don’t really appreciate until you lose that privacy. We can reassess in a few years and see what the next projects are.”
