John Fuda turned away a hospital stay during Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14. At first, John seemed to be having an allergic reaction to something that he ate. After his allergy tests turned up nothing suspicious, Rachel Fuda had more questions than answers to deal with. Sadly, John’s health just took another turn, and this time, as Rachel explains, he had no choice but to finally enter the hospital because he was experiencing “excruciating pain.”
John refused to go to the hospital during Episode 12, so the paramedics came to him. Luckily, everything turned out well. However, “Last Thursday,” Rachel and John “went to grab something to eat,” Rachel explained on TikTok. But while they were out, John’s health declined yet again.
“John was in excruciating pain. He was sitting at the table, literally holding his stomach,” Rachel begins, noting that his pain lived in “The lower right quadrant.” Shockingly, John did not seek help right away. “This went on until Monday,” Rachel adds, since “he is the most stubborn person in the world.”
Those are Rachel’s words. Not mine. I’m just a girl.
On Sunday, Rachel realized that John might have something serious going on. He “doesn’t ever nap,” but “he was out cold,” and “he was sweating.” Therefore, Rachel took John’s temperature. It was 102.5
On Monday, Rachel finally convinced John to head to the emergency room. “Praise Jesus, our savior,” she joked. After running a batch of tests on John, the hospital sent him home, saying he was fine.
The Fuda’s then rang up an old friend who works at their local hospital. This friend called a GI specialist, who urgently told Rachel to bring John in for surgery. John’s gallbladder needed to exit his body, stat.
On Wednesday, John underwent surgery. It was successful, thankfully. As Rachel noted, these aches have been around for quite a while. So this is a great outcome, and we hope John loves his new pain-free existence.
A special Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 wrap-up airs next Sunday, August 11, at 8/7c on Bravo.
