Quandre Diggs Signs One-Year Deal with Tennessee Titans Worth Up to $5 Million

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, veteran safety Quandre Diggs has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans, potentially worth up to $5 million. Diggs took to social media to share his excitement, calling it the “long awaited news” and confirming his move to the Titans.

Titans Sign 3-Time Pro Bowler To 1-Year Deal - Newsweek

After spending the last five seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, the 11-year NFL veteran entered free agency this offseason and has now decided to join Tennessee.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport detailed the terms of Diggs’ contract, which includes a $3 million base salary, an additional $1 million in incentives based on playing time, and another $1 million in performance-based incentives.

Diggs, a three-time Pro Bowler, is coming off a strong season with the Seahawks where he recorded a career-high 95 tackles, five passes deflected, and an interception. Despite his solid performance, the Seahawks released Diggs and fellow safety Jamal Adams in March to save $27.5 million.

Joining the Titans, Diggs reunites with Jamal Adams, who also signed with Tennessee in July. The two will aim to strengthen the Titans’ secondary, which struggled last season, allowing an average of 335.1 yards and 21.6 points per game. Their presence is expected to provide a significant boost to Tennessee’s defensive backfield.

The Titans, who won the AFC South in 2021, have faced challenges over the past two seasons with records of 7-10 and 6-11. With the addition of experienced players like Diggs and Adams, the team hopes to improve its defensive performance and return to playoff contention. The new signings are part of Tennessee’s efforts to address their weaknesses and build a more competitive team for the upcoming season.
