The news broke recently that Phaedra Parks is officially returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, many wondered how that would work since she’s also a cast member on Married to Medicine, which is currently filming. Now, it’s being said that Phaedra quit the show because one of her Married to Med co-stars invited Apollo Nida and his wife, Sherien Almufti, on the cast trip.
As fans of RHOA will recall, Phaedra and Apollo were married from 2009 until 2017. They have two children, and he even appeared on the reunion for Married to Medicine last season after not showing up at his son’s filmed birthday party. Apollo has since remarried, and he has also had more legal trouble in recent years.
The X account called Mad Beefs took to the platform recently to report on what allegedly happened on the cast trip. According to them, Dr. Heavenly Kimes invited Apollo and his wife Sherien on the trip.
However, Phaedra got into an argument while on the trip, and she not only left early, but she also departed the series because of the drama. You can see their post below.
Allegedly Phaedra quit Married to Medicine because Dr Heavenly invited Apollo and his wife to a cast trip. Phaedra had a huge argument with a lot of people and left the trip and the rest of the show’s filming. This is what the rumor is #rhoa #married2med pic.twitter.com/KkTzhz6sDl

The Neighborhood Talk went into a bit more detail about the argument Phaedra got into while on the trip. According to them, Apollo and his wife were invited on the trip to “confront” her. Things got heated between her and Phaedra, and it seems the peach holder came out on the losing end of the argument.
The Instagram account also says that Phaedra “went off” on production and then quit the show. The account also highlights a questionable reply from Toya Bush on Phaedra’s announcement that she’d be returning to RHOA. The comment reads, “Congrats !!! Pray you’re happy.”
Toya’s phrasing makes it sound like Phaedra did, indeed, quit filming Married to Medicine in favor of RHOA. Of course, it should be pointed out that these shows use two different production companies despite airing on the same network.
