The police in Atlanta are probably so sick of having to show up at Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak’s house. They’ve shown up to the property numerous times, usually because of their fighting. Earlier this summer, they were called because Kroy’s dog allegedly terrorized their neighborhood.
We previously reported that Kroy received a citation for his dog’s antics. Now the body cam footage has surfaced, and it shows a whole new side to this story. When the cops approached Kroy, his behavior was just as obnoxious as his dog’s.
Excuses, excuses
The body cam footage obtained by TMZ begins by showing the allegations against Kroy’s dog. One of Kroy’s neighbors speaks to the officer, recalling the scary moment when Kroy’s dog charged at her while she was on her own property. The dog didn’t bite her, but she said she had to jump into a stranger’s car to get away from the dog.
That’s pretty bad, but it gets worse. The dog, which is a Cane Corso, chased after two neighbors in one day! He’s three years old, so imagine what the community has been dealing with all of this time.
When the cops ventured over to Kroy’s house, that’s when things got extra weird. First of all, they found him standing in his driveway barefoot, which is a red flag in itself. He had his hands on his hips, and when they asked for his side of the story, he had a ridiculous excuse. According to Kroy, his neighbors are harassing him with unwarranted police reports because his family is in the “public eye.”
The cop wasn’t buying that excuse. He politely reminded the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum that this wasn’t the first time that they heard complaints about the dog. In fact, the cop said that he had personally responded to calls to their home in the past.
With the dog’s history, the officer decided to write Kroy a citation. He was nice about it and explained that it wasn’t a “criminal” offense. It’s just a way to remind folks to keep their dogs on their own property. Still, Kroy didn’t agree with that outcome.
He asked the officer, “I’m being fined for my dog running on private property?”
The cop tried to explain to Kroy that his dog couldn’t run into other people’s yards. That’s when the RHOA alum dropped an even more bizarre excuse. He claimed that his dog was entitled to run around the entire neighborhood because he “pays HOA dues.”
That’s not how that works, Kroy. The cops had the utmost patience with the ridiculous excuses, and they eventually were able to get him to sign off on the citation. Meanwhile, Kroy stood there shaking his head in disbelief. He grumbled about potentially involving a lawyer. All because his dog can’t stay inside of his yard. Obviously, this dog is just trying to escape to a better life and we can’t fault him for that.
