Training camp injuries are never fun. Sometimes, they come with season-ending timetables. That’s truly the worst. For the New Orleans Saints, a couple of notable injuries popped up for them late in their first week of training camp.
Two notable players for their 2024 defense are dealing with ailments, but their timetables for return do not sound particularly lasting. That’s a plus, at least.

Lattimore’s availability has been spotty over the past two years. He’s played in seventeen total games over the past two seasons. When healthy, he is one of the best cornerbacks in football.
Now, he is dealing with a new ailment. The severity of his hip injury is not known yet, so keep an eye on his practice status in the coming week. New Orleans will probably be extra careful with him.

The young defensive lineman has been impressive so far in practice, but now, he is on the shelf. He did not practice on Saturday.
Bresee played in all seventeen games during his rookie year. He was not the interior starter, but there’s potential for him to grab that role during the 2024 season. As of now, Khalen Saunders becomes even more important on the inside.
We will see how long the foot issue keeps Bresee out.
Jake Haener announces he’s been diagnosed with rare skin cancer
“I feel like I’m pretty young and healthy to be able to have something like that pop up… But I want to take care of it and be responsible about it, obviously not make it a distraction because I’m going to be fine, everything’s going to be taken care of.”
— Haener
The Saints QB noted that it is not a life-threatening situation right now, but he does want to be smart with his treatment of it.
