Is Real Housewives of New Jersey about to receive the Real Housewives of New York treatment? Well, no one can say for certain, but Luann de Lesseps has some thoughts. Andy Cohen made it sound like that was the plan but later walked back that statement.
As Bravo fans are likely well aware, RHONY Season 14 saw a total cast reboot. The network waved goodbye to the entire Season 13 cast and loaded the show with entirely fresh faces. Now, reality TV fans suppose the same thing will happen to New Jersey.
Like New York’s Season 13, RHONJ Season 14 faced low viewership and multiple controversies, hence the current speculation. Could Bravo potentially save New Jersey with a full reboot? Potentially. It seemed to work for New York. But here’s what one fan-favorite former Housewife thinks.
Who does Luann want in RHONJ’s future?
Recently, a TMZ pap ran into Luann amid her Countess Cabaret tour. When asked about Andy Cohen’s comments on the fate of New Jersey, Luann said, “The newbies and the OGs. That’s what he should do.” She added that rather than “wiping out the entire cast, they should just meld some new people in. Right?”
When asked to defend that position, Luann said, “Jersey is Jersey. New York is New York.” In response, the pap asked if RHONJ could be the same without the likes of Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice. Again, Luann simply said, “Well, who says they’re going? We don’t know who’s going.” She added, “Let the powers that be do their work.”
