LOVE Island winners Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan have stamped out split rumours – and insisted “we’re authentic.”
The duo – who made history as the first all-black couple to scoop the matchmaking show’s £50K prize – gushed how people could “relate” to their dating experience which was aired for the nation to see.
It came after some Love Island fans suspected the duo were “on the brink of a split” following a new video posted to the ITV2 programme’s Instagram page.
They told how they thought the body language between Mimii and Josh was “giving break up” and questioned their “genuine connection.”
Yet footballer Paul Pogba’s body double Josh has insisted they are the real deal.
A new photoshoot with OK! Magazine show the pair looking blissfully in love as the fool around on a bed before the model gives her a cuddle from behind.
Mimii holds tight onto his hands in another slushy snap and told: “I think for me and Mimii our thing was just so authentic.
“We were never thinking about winning – winning was never in the plan.
“My main focus was trying to make my situation with Mimii good.”
Insisting they were strong, mental health nurse Mimii added: “We spoke about things that weren’t just surface level talks, we talked deeply and it would just flow every single time and it was an easy conversation for us to get into.
“We had similar interests, we like the same music and we’re passionate about the same things.”
She added: “We were just very compatible and people could see that.

“What we went through are things that you could potentially go through on the outside, during the talking stage or when you’re dating someone.
“People could relate.”
Previously, Mimii was treated to a lavish welcome home party from her loved ones.
The duo looked more loved up than ever as they shared a kiss on their arrival at Stansted Airport this week.
OG star Mimii and Josh – who entered the villa as a bombshell – proved runaway winners after Love Island released the exact voting stats from Monday’s final.
During the live final, Mimii cried and told presenter Maya Jama: “I wasn’t expecting this.”
She added how she felt “over stimulated, overwhelmed, grateful.”
Josh said he had tunnel vision for Mimii when he entered the villa two weeks ago, telling Maya during their exit interview: “I told her when I met her, she surprised me, everything I expected her to be, she was and more.”
They pair got together following the show’s Casa Amor stages.
It came as Mimii was trying to heal from her Casa Amor heartache at the hands of semi-pro footballer, Ayo Odukoya, 24.
