They met on winter Love Island 2023

Love Island couple survival rates are, well, let’s be honest, they aren’t.

Only a fraction of Love Island couples make it out of a season together, let alone manage to live happily ever after. They can’t all be Molly-Mae Hague x Tommy Fury and Jessie Wynter x Will Young, can they?

But there is one couple we’ve been rooting for from the moment they coupled up on winter Love Island a year and a half ago – Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad.

While they certainly had a bumpy ride in the South African villa – looking at you, Martin Akinola – they nevertheless made it to the final and since then have been giving LOVE both on the socials and IRL (and we can vouch for the latter as we’re heat and we get invites 💅).

So you can imagine our utter despair when Reddit reared its ugly head and drew our attention to the fact that Tanya has deleted all pics of her and Shaq together from her Instagram grid, except for one video.

That’s never good news, is it?

Naturally, Reddit has gone in to full REDDIT ALERT and the comments are commenting.

One speculative Love Island fan wrote, “[Tanya] deleted a post she made just a day ago with Shaq when he was still In America with Dami. After he came back yesterday I clocked that it got deleted, scrolled down and saw she actually deleted every picture and Reel that shows Shaq, even collab posts are gone.

“You guys think that something happened with them? Or that she just really doesn’t want Shaq posted on her page because of branding (very weird tbh since they are way more liked together like most LI couples and get invited mostly together to brand trips or events).”

Another fan then added, “I’d get deleting a few but deleting a day old post and basically wiping him from her feed including the pictures from her family trip last year is very weird. That’s not normal clean up behaviour.”

Of course, this is not definitive proof that there’s trouble in paradise, but it certainly raises an eyebrow.

So here’s the good news – Shaq did recently commented on Tanya’s graduation content.

He commented on Tanya’s recent posted seemingly beaming over his clever clogs gf, “Is there anything she can’t do?”

Perhaps we all need to chill and just stay off Reddit. Maybs.

Neither Tanya or Shaq have spoken out about the split rumours. We’ve contacted their reps for comment.
