Phaedra Parks is making her “Real Housewives of Atlanta” return after seven years away from the series.

On Monday, Parks announced that she would be returning to the series for season 16.  If you recall, the attorney was fired after season nine for spreading a vicious rumor about former friend Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, planning to drug and rape Porsha Williams.  The shocking revelation came to light during the season’s explosive reunion, where the hair entrepreneur exposed Parks for telling her the lie about Burruss and Tucker.  For years, Parks was not a part of the Bravo line-up until she appeared in the second season of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” in 2022 and later became a cast member of “Married to Medicine” in season 10 as the girlfriend of a physician.

Burruss previously stated she would not stay on the show if Parks were to return.  However, after announcing her own exit from the series in February 2024, this seemingly cleared the way for Parks’ to be considered.  Then, with Kenya Moore stepping away from season 16 following her revenge porn scandal, Bravo greenlit Parks’ as a cast member.  She will join Williams, Shamea Morton, Drew Sidora, Kelli Ferrell, Brittany Eady, and Angela Oakley.  Model Cynthia Bailey will be returning as a friend of the show.

Fans have had mixed reactions to her return.  Some believe the nasty rumor was enough to ban Parks from “RHOA” for life.  Others are excited to see her shade and witty comebacks.

No matter one’s stance, there is no denying that Parks delivered several beloved moments during her tenure from season two to season nine of the series.
