Lisa Vanderpump says ‘ship has sailed’ with Kyle Richards friendship
Lisa Vanderpump still has no interest in mending her relationship with former best friend Kyle Richards.
The Bravolebrity appeared on Thursday’s episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna” where Jenna Bush Hager asked her if she had reached out to Richards, who is currently separated from Mauricio Umansky.
“I think that ship has sailed,” Vanderpump, 63, replied. “I think she knows how I feel. I’ve been very honest about that.”
The “Vanderpump Rules” star added that while she hasn’t seen Richards, she did recently run into the real estate agent.
“Now, I have seen Mauricio. I saw him at ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ so I kicked him in the ass,” she said while laughing.
Umansky, 53, recently competed in Season 32 of the ABC dancing series, which Vanderpump attended to cheer on her co-star Ariana Madix, who was also a contestant.
Despite the two women no longer being on speaking terms, Vanderpump continued to send her well wishes to Richards.
“I felt very sad for her because I know Kyle really held her marriage very close and near,” she said. “It was very, very important to her, and she always kinda gave the impression of everything being perfect whether it was or it wasn’t.
“I think it’s a shame, I really do. I hope they find their way back to each other,” she concluded.
Vanderpump and Richards, 55, were best friends in the early days of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” However, their longtime friendship turned sour in 2018 after Richards, 55, accused Vanderpump of leaking a negative story about co-star Dorit Kemsley to the press.
The London native vehemently denied the accusations and their friendship never recovered.
The “Halloween” actress previously told Page Six that she “appreciated” Vanderpump expressing how much it “saddens” her to hear about the longtime couple’s marital issues.
“I really appreciated her words. That was very, very kind of her,” Richards told us at BravoCon 2023 in November.
