Kyle Richards tearfully addresses Mauricio Umansky cheating rumors in emotional chat with Erika Jayne
Kyle Richards had a very emotional response to her and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, being accused of cheating on one another after they announced their separation.
“There’s literally nothing to do with anybody else,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told co-star Erika Jayne amid tears as to why she and Umansky split in a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode.
“This is really just about me and Mau. It’s not about our family. It’s not about external family. It’s not about another person on his side or my side.”
Richards, 55, and Umansky, 53, shockingly announced they had called it quits in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage, with a source saying that the pair had been “separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof.”
The former couple also emphasized in a joint statement at the time that there had been “no wrongdoing on anyone’s part,” adding, “While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
Despite the denials of any infidelity, the internet continued to speculate about Richards’ blossoming friendship with country singer Morgan Wade, in particular, since the two had been seen spending a lot of time together and even got matching tattoos.
However, the “Housewife” has repeatedly insisted that she and the “Wilder Days” singer, 29, are just friends, while Umansky has been out and about with women much younger than him, including a 33-year-old fashion influencer and Brazilian pop superstar Anitta.
It was recently revealed, though, that Richards gave her ex the green light to freely date other people amid their separation.
The Bravolebrity has been open on her reality show that the loss of her best friend to suicide is what may have impacted her marriage because she felt Umansky could have been there for her more.
Richards tearfully told Jayne, 52, in the sneak peek that she felt she had disappointed herself, her estranged husband, their four daughters and the public with their looming divorce.
“Why? Because you’re human? Because you have problems?” the “Pretty Mess” singer asked.
“There are only two people in this marriage, so everybody else’s opinion can f–k off. You have to make yourself happy.”
The clip concluded with Richards questioning if she and Umansky will be able “work it out.”
New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
