According to the 41-year-old Summer House star, Carl, 39, actually told him he believed his ex-fiance would move on from their relationship quickly with both a boyfriend and a child during a conversation they had shortly after Carl split from Lindsay, 37, in August 2023.
“He actually told me last fall, ‘I bet she’s pregnant by the time of the summer,’” Kyle told Page Six on July 11. “He’s like, ‘I bet she has a boyfriend by the reunion, and she’s pregnant by the summer.’ And I’m like, ‘Come on buddy.’ And I don’t know what kinda crystal ball he had.”
Following the sharing of Lindsay’s news earlier this month, Kyle said he had “so much respect” for how Carl responded.
“His immediate reaction was like, ‘I’m genuinely happy for her. That’s what she’s wanted,’” Kyle revealed, noting that the former couple was able to “break the ice” weeks ago and get to “amicable” terms.
“Just to see them chatting it up is gonna be good for everybody, because ultimately, there was a really long friendship under there, and I hope that at the very least, they can be amicable and maybe by the end of the summer –– they’re not gonna be besties –– but I’d like to think they can both kinda admit to one another like, ‘Yeah, this is for the best,’” Kyle explained.
As for how he reacted to Lindsay’s pregnancy, Kyle said he’s “incredibly happy” for her.
“I know we have a history of love and hate and brotherly sisterly love, but I think the key word there is love. Like, I have known that she’s wanted to be a mom practically since I’ve known her,” he said, adding that Lindsay has been “incredibly nice” since learning she’s expecting, which has been “refreshing to see.”
Kyle also spoke about his recent DJ event at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar in New York City, which was filmed for season nine.
“Alcohol and music go pretty well together, and I’ve already been throwing parties, but instead of a boring meet and greet where people wait in line for two hours, now people can get their pictures, but we can actually throw a party,” he explained. “DJing is more intertwined with Loverboy, and my true passion and what I’m doing at wee hours of the night is learning how to produce music.”
Kyle also said that although “some” have been “critical” of his DJing dreams, most have been “supportive.”
In other Summer House news, Carl was seen reacting to claims of wearing a toupee on X, formerly known as Twitter, earlier this week.
After a Bravo fan page said that they were “convinced the veneers are just to distract us from his lace front toupee,” and shared a zoomed-in image of Carl’s hairline, he responded to the post with a crying-while-laughing emoji.
No word yet on when Summer House season nine will begin airing on Bravo.
