Nick Jonas has an old soul, according to ex Kate Hudson.
The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” star, 45, reflected on the pair’s 2015 fling while playing Plead the Fifth on “Watch What Happens Live” Wednesday.
During the segment, host Andy Cohen asked about Hudson’s involvement with the much younger singer, 31, after “skirt[ing] around” the “countless rumors” for years.
“Looking back on it now, how would you characterize that relationship?” Cohen, 56, asked.
Hudson let out an uncomfortable laugh before defining their brief romance as “a moment” in time.
“Lovely, fun, kind … he’s like an old man in a young man’s body and we love him,” she added.
Neither Hudson nor Jonas ever labeled their relationship after sparking romance rumors in September 2015 during a date at Disney World.
At the time, an insider told Page Six that the pair were “hanging out” but “not dating” after meeting through mutual friends. Another source also told TMZ they were “absolutely” hooking up.
Although their romance proved to be short-lived, the Jonas Brothers member had nothing but praise for the actress-turned-singer during a January 2016 interview with Complex.
“Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other, and see something in each other that’s beautiful,” he told the outlet.
However, he declined to share any insight about their romance “out of [his] best effort to respect her and her privacy.”
“I’m not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection,” he added. “Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She’s amazing.”
In the years following, Jonas went on to date Lily Collins and Georgia Fowler before settling down with his now-wife, Priyanka Chopra, 42.
The pair began dating in May 2018 and tied the knot seven months later. They welcomed daughter Malti Marie via surrogate in January 2022.
Hudson, for her part, “took a full year off” from men shortly after her fling with the “Jealous” singer.
During an episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in May, Hudson revealed she took time away from romantically pursuing men at her therapist’s request.
Although it was “not fun” at first, it eventually became “empowering” and Hudson realized she “didn’t have the same attachment” to male attention.
It also taught her what she needed in a partner after years of attracting “wild” men.
After the year-long pause, Hudson eventually met her current fiancé, Danny Fujikawa, 38.
“If I didn’t do that, I would never have ended up with Danny, because Danny, he’s just such a good man, and I’m not so sure I was attracted to the good man,” she said while laughing.
The couple, who share 5-year-old daughter Rani, got engaged in September 2021.
Hudson is also mom to son Ryder, 20, with ex-husband Chris Robinson and son Bingham, 13, with ex Matt Bellamy.
