Joe Burrow is back.
The Bengals star quarterback took the offense on a 12-play, 73-yard drive that ended with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Tee Higgins on the opneing possession of Saturday night’s game against the Buccaneers.
It was Burrow’s first game since undergoing season-ending wrist surgery in November.
Despite his success, Burrow made it clear that he wasn’t satisfied with his performance.
“Still some work to do, but it was nice to be back out there,” Burrow said.
His next answer was even more to the point when asked about the throw he felt best about: “Still room to improve.”
From throwing an accurate deep ball to leading the team down for an opening drive touchdown, the Bengals’ star might’ve done everything fans were hoping for, but he clearly wasn’t satisfied with the performance.
He spoke for just over four minutes. Happy to be back, but certainly not satisfied.
