Jesse Solomon Reveals He Got Fired From Job Due to Summer House as He Offers an Update on His Career

Jesse Solomon opened up about getting fired from his job in finance during an interview earlier this month.

Summer House's Jesse Solomon Explains Why He Got Fired From Finance Job, Admits He Found It "Cringe" to Be an Influencer, and Offers an Update on His Career

As he and his castmates began filming the upcoming ninth season of Summer House, his sophomore season, Jesse, 31, who worked as the Vice President of Chicago Atlantic Group until March 2024, admitted that having a Bravo reality star on its staff wasn’t the best look for the company.

“It was a publicly traded firm. There’s a lot of compliance and governance that goes into that. And I’m just on TV getting drunk, hooking up with chicks. So probably [a] bad look for the firm,” Jesse admitted while speaking to Kate Mackz, host of The Running Interview Show, via Heavy.

According to Jesse, he’s been leaning into being a reality television star and social media influencer since getting booted from the company and has enjoyed the many “heartfelt messages” he’s received since going public with his cancer battle on Summer House season eight.

As fans may recall, Jesse was diagnosed with testicular cancer at 24 and endured a cancer scare amid production on the recently aired season.

As Heavy also reported, Jesse spoke about his past gig with the Chicago Atlantic Group in June when he appeared on Jason Tartick‘s podcast, Trading Secrets.

“The job that I had when I was on the show, is not the job that I have now … I was working at a private credit fund that was the largest lenders to the cannabis industry. And I was raising money for that strategy. But they have a publicly traded entity. And there’s governance and compliance and things that go along with running that operation. So yeah, having a guy on Summer House drinking is probably not the best look for the firm,” he shared.

Jesse also said that while he was not “trying to become an influencer by being on reality TV,” he appreciated the opportunities that came with his role on Bravo.

“I’m not a digital creator by nature. And I always thought it was kind of cringe to be a guy posting on social media. But that’s just the reality of our world today. And it’s just been fun and I’m embracing it,” he admitted.

As for what he’s doing outside of Bravo and social media, Jesse confirmed that he was “still actively working in finance [but] not in a 40-hour week capacity.”

“I help businesses find alternative capital to traditional bank financing. And then I also offer some of those deals out to investors to syndicate into those loans,” he revealed, not naming the company he is currently employed with.

Summer House season nine is currently in production.
