Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 will be here before we know it. And newbie “Friend” Jennifer Tilly couldn’t be more excited about being on RHOBH.
Jennifer compared it to working with A-list director, Martin Scorsese. The compliments don’t get any higher than that. Jennifer also spilled the tea about her time on the show, and that she fangirled harder over meeting the Real Housewives than Elizabeth Taylor.
Jennifer dished being on the show was like “experiencing zero gravity”
The Oscar-nominated actress already had some experience on RHOBH before securing her Friend role. Jennifer had popped in several other seasons as she is besties with Sutton Stracke. So, it would only be natural for her to come on in a more full-time capacity. But Jennifer wasn’t all in at first.
US Weekly reported the details on Jennifer likening the experience to working with Hollywood royalty and her hesitation in becoming a cast member. She stated, “I never thought I’d be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. To me, it’s like working with Martin Scorsese.” We need Marty to direct a Housewives mobster movie, stat!
Being the true Bravoholic that she is, Jennifer was more excited to meet the cast than a legendary actress. She said, “I was more excited to meet Kyle Richards and Erika [Jayne] and the other ladies than I was when I met Elizabeth Taylor.” Jennifer had also mentioned she didn’t get along with someone on the cast.
Despite her fandom, Jennifer almost didn’t join the show. She shared, “They’ve been asking me if I want to be on the show, and I’ve always said, ‘No. No.’ This year, I sort of thought, I just want to do everything different. I’m trying to take on challenges.”
And this challenge was out of this world. Jennifer said, “My boyfriend always says if he got $40 million, he wants to go into space and experience zero gravity. To me, being on Housewives is experiencing zero gravity.”
Jennifer also shared that overall it wasn’t too difficult. She said, “I’m not a Housewife. I’m a Friend, though, which is a lot easier. You just dip in and out. You try to avoid, like, flying shrapnel. And you know, if drinks are thrown, I have good reflexes.” Which is key to becoming a top-tier Housewife.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
