The divorce might be settled between Jennifer Pedranti and her ex, but their problems are far from over.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star shares four kids with her former hubby, William Pedranti. Although a court has decided on the divorce details, Jennifer recently explained why there are still plenty of issues to work out between the two of them.
The long road ahead
Jennifer’s nasty divorce started before we met her on RHOC Season 17. After months and months of fighting in court, the two finally settled their divorce earlier this summer. They both agreed not to disparage each other in the press, and she wound up getting around $1,000 per kid each month in child support.
You’d think it would be smooth sailing now that the ink has dried on the divorce papers. However, Jennifer told Access Hollywood that she and Will still have major communication problems. There are some things that a court case just can’t fix, and she said it’s probably going to plague her life for some time to come.
“[The divorce] took four years, you guys — long time,” Jennifer reiterated.
She explained, “Unfortunately, I have no communication with my ex and so it’s hard. I’m so grateful that it’s finalized. I know people think, ‘OK, good. Here she goes.’ There’s still issues within it but we’re finalized and it was a long time coming.”
Despite the communication issues between Jennifer and her ex, she assured the outlet that her children are doing well amid their family’s collapse. She said they’re getting the best of both worlds with Ryan Boyajian serving as a bonus dad.
“It’s so great as a mom because I know my kids with their dad, I know the relationship my kids have with their dad, and I see the relationship they have with Ryan… They’re different men,” Jennifer explained.
Real Housewives of Orange County continues on Bravo, Thursday nights at 9/8c.
