Fortunately for Kelce, he set up his post-playing future with a very successful podcast that he does with his brother and seems to have a bright future in media as an analyst.
Usually, when a player who needs to be big and heavy during their playing days calls it a career, they make an effort to lose a lot of weight to begin retirement in order to address any potential health issues that might arise.
Although Kelce wasn’t a giant on the offensive line sporting a weight above 300 pounds or more, Kelce admits he was close to reaching that 300 mark during his time with the Eagles and had his weight fluctuate under different head coaches that had different game plans via Green Light with Chris Long.
“276 pounds this morning,” Kelce said. He admitted he weighed 295 pounds near the end of his playing career.
Fortunately for Kelce, he no longer has to be a certain weight in order to stay on top of his game on the football field, and he might be able to implement things in his post-playing career to drop some weight moving forward.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Philadelphia will miss his presence on the offensive line, as he will go down as one of the franchise’s best players of all time, having been named an All-Pro center six times during his career.
