Jalen Hurts lands among the top 15 on NFL Top 100 Players of 2024 ranking

Jalen Hurts lands at number 15 on the Top 100 Players of 2024 ranking.
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

We don’t think we’re the only people who do this. Every time we see a Pro Bowl roster introduced, a list of top players at any given position, or postseason awards handed out, we find ourselves scouring said lists to see if any Philadelphia Eagles have been mentioned (and the number that have been listed). It shouldn’t come as a shock that every time the NFL drops its Top 100 Players rankings, we find ourselves engaging in the same activity.

Another NFL season nears, and here we are, scrolling through the list to see how many of our guys earned mentions.

At the time of this story’s release, NFL.com has only officially released players 100-21. Four Eagles have been named. We still think DeVonta Smith (90) and Saquon Barkley (86) are ranked too low, but they did indeed earn mentions as did Lane Johnson (41) and A.J. Brown (21).

And, now it appears it’s time for QB1 to make his appearance.

Jalen Hurts lands at the 15th spot on the Top 100 Players of 2024 ranking.

Jalen Hurts has his naysayers, outside of the Eagles fan base and among its many loyal members, but he commands the respect of his peers. That shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. Players respect him in Philly’s locker room and across the league as members of opposing franchises.

If you need any evidence of that theory, don’t worry. We have your back covered on this one, as we have always watched the back of QB1.

The Top 100 Players ranking is unique in the fact that it is comprised strictly of votes from players. Hurts lands as the 15th-ranked player on said list. He does, however slip several notches after being named as the third-best player a year ago. Hey, leading one’s team to a Super Bowl and personally outplaying the NFL’s MVP despite losing will do that for you.

If you need a clip, again, we have you covered.

Here’s the important thing. The goal is for all of the acclaim to translate to the playing field. After handing QB1 Kellen Moore as an offensive coordinator and adding Saquon Barkley to the Eagles’ backfield to assist him, with Jalen’s work ethic, a return to the top ten this time next year certainly isn’t out of the question.
