Teresa Giudice and husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, are almost about to be empty nesters in their New Jersey home.
Teresa’s daughters are growing up, as seen on this current season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. With Gabriella and Milania Giudice at college this fall, and Gia Giudice possibly ready to move into an apartment with her boyfriend, Teresa and Louie are left as her youngest kid Audriana Giudice completes high school.
But, Teresa and Louie’s plans for the future are just a little up in the air once all of their kids move out of their shared family home.
Will Teresa Giudice ever move out of New Jersey?
Yes, she will.. kind of. Despite being born and raised in New Jersey, Teresa told BravoTV.com in the video above that she is ready to finally leave her home state and all of the snow behind, but there’s a timeline.
“Eventually, I want to move to the warm weather, yes,” she said. Teresa revealed that she and Louie are looking at houses on both coasts — Florida and California. “We’re looking at properties now,” she added. “So even if we get something now, and eventually — when Audriana’s done with high school — then we’re going to do six months and six months. Like, six months in Jersey, and then six months wherever we pick….just warm weather all year round, yes! That’s what I want!”
Luckily, Teresa’s youngest daughter, who is about to enter the 10th grade, has her sights set on attending the University of Miami. That means Teresa and Louie will be closer to her if they decide to move there (plus Milania also goes to college in Florida). “That’s her school,” Teresa said. “And that’s where I want her to go too, so I’m like, ‘You need to study hard, because it’s a tough school to get into.'”
Gia Giudice Reveals Plans to Move Out of Teresa Giudice’s New Jersey Home
Now that Milania is off to begin her freshman year in Tampa, Florida and Gabriella is entering her sophomore year at the University of Michigan, Gia is ready for her new chapter to start. During RHONJ Season 14 Episode 7, Teresa told Louie that Gia told her that she wanted to move out of their family home and into an apartment with her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael.
“Yeah, I mean, I was a little shocked to hear it at first,” Teresa told Louie during the episode. “I was like, ‘What?’ Because I feel like you should live on your own first and then go be with the guy.”
Teresa continued to open up about Gia’s decision in the video above. “I feel like she should live on her own, first, I said that, and it has not happened yet,” she explained. “Because I always wanted to live on my own, and I was not allowed to. So I went from you know, my parent’s house, to [ex-husband] Joe [Giudice]’s house. So it’s like, I wish I lived on my own first, and I wish she would do that.”
