Hoda Kotb is dishing out the inside scoop on which of her co-hosts gives the best parenting advice.

The Today co-anchor, 59, spoke with PEOPLE ahead of having her 50th guest on her podcast Making Space, sharing the different types of advice she gets from her co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager, 42, and Savannah Guthrie, 52. Kotb is a mom to daughters Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 4.

“I do have a dead heat between Savannah and Jenna, and I’ll tell you why,” Kotb tells PEOPLE before going into detail about each co-host’s form of advice-giving.

“Savannah has very thoughtful advice, she always gives very thoughtful advice,” the mom of two explains, adding that Guthrie’s strength is finding new solutions to old problems.

“She has a good way of explaining big concepts in palatable ways. So I usually take a page from her. She always gives good advice in that way, and she’s pretty good at reminding you, ‘You’ve tried that 10 times, it didn’t work, so why don’t you try this thing?’ She’s good at reminding you of the times you have repeated the same problem and tried the same solution. So she’ll offer up another one.”

As for Bush Hager, Kotb says, “I like Jenna because Jenna also assumes everything’s always going to work out. Her [advice], ‘They’re going to be fine,’ is really, really good.”

Kotb adds that she appreciates Bush Hager’s “realist” mindset, in addition to her optimism.

“But she’s also good at if I say ‘I couldn’t get my kids to go to sleep,’ she says, ‘Well, here’s what I do. I give three warnings and then I say X, and then I do Y.’ And I go, “Then what happens?” She goes, ‘Then they don’t go to bed. Okay? That’s it. That’s what’s happened.'”

“She’s kind of a realist about all of it,” Kotb adds. “So I love that Jenna lives in the place of everything’s going to be all right. And she’s right. So I think that her parenting advice is good too.”

All three of the moms seem to share the same goal. “We’re all trying not to be overbearing,” Kotb says.

Bush Hager is a mom to daughters Mila and Poppy, plus son Hal, while Guthrie parents daughter Vale and son Charley.
