The Vegas Golden Knights announced yesterday that they have signed a multi-year affiliation agreement with the Tahoe Knight Monsters of the ECHL but still need to fill out the roster.
Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon had this to say about the new partnership.
“Two critical goals in our organization are to develop strong hockey players and grow the game of hockey in Nevada,” said McCrimmon. “Our new partnership with Tahoe ensures that our prospects will progress in a first-class environment, and our Hockey Operations personnel will work with a great business staff to bring an exciting product to a new fanbase. We are very pleased to welcome the Knight Monsters here to Nevada.”
The head coaching job is filled by Alex Loh who was also the head coach of the Golden Knights’ previous ECHL affiliate, the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
At the moment, the team has just six players signed to their roster, four forwards and two defensemen. The four forwards are Anthony Collins, Blake Christensen, Adam Robbins and Chris Dodero.
Welcome to Tahoe, Anthony Collins! Collins is the first player signing in Knight Monsters’ history!

Now that the team has found their NHL and AHL affiliates, has a location and a jersey, the new franchise should be able to sign more players and fill out their roster very quickly.
